"I contacted ben as I seen what work he was doing with people in extreme conditions and coaching through out, I didn't understand the power of it until I went through the coaching myself.
For a long time Iv struggled with my thoughts & not no what to do with them, I can be very high or very low, which can have a very bad impact with my self belief getting through life.
The work I learnt with ben was amazing even in the circumstances we was in I was able to take control. There was a time I submerged under the water and at that moment I've never experienced anything like it, I took full control and trusted myself through the coaching we had done prior that I was gunna be okay.
I was in control and to own this situation, i look forward to taking the coaching I've learnt into my everyday life and build on it. I've had a glimpse of how powerful this is!"
"Lad I changed my life round over the past few years after losing my dad and suffering from having an addictive personality with anything bad. Drink, drugs, gambling shit food but now I'm on a path of trying new things that will keep my mind away from going back down that path.
I started by doing my first half Marathon built it up to a iron man in 8 months. Then signed up for a 100 mile race 25 days before because I ran 40 miles but I give everythink I had into that race phiscally and mentally and got to mile 79 and everythink give in.
So I signed up for a even bigger ultra Liverpool to Leeds canal 126 miles. So I thought by doing 1 of your challenges It will help me build more mental resistance to get threw them dark hours going threw the night.
The more uncomfortable work I do, the more I will grow in life. This challenge definitely helped with that."
"At The Wellspring, our frontline project team supports people facing some of the most complex challenges. Homelessness, mental ill health, trauma and social exclusion. To do this well, our staff need not only professional skills, but emotional resilience, strong communication, and mutual trust as a team.
Ben's sessions have been an incredibly valuable experience for our project staff team. What really stood out was how Ben's approach enabled team members to better understand themselves and one another. Deepening trust, improving communication, and encouraging meaningful reflection.
Thanks to Ben's insight, warmth and consistency, we've seen a genuine shift in team morale and connection. We would wholeheartedly recommend the programme to any organisation looking to invest in the wellbeing and cohesion of their team."
Gabe came to A&E preparing for Royal Marines Commando selection. He trained the breathwork and pressure methods here, then took them into one of the hardest military selection processes in the world. He passed. He's a Royal Marines Commando now.
An elite fighter who'd lost the feeling of mastery he had in competition. Weighted vest, hands tied behind his back, blindfolded. After breathwork and cold acclimatisation he had to jump backward into deep water and touch the floor 10 times. He failed his first attempt, swallowed water, fought the current. Then he reset and completed all 10. That's the point of the work. Not avoiding the failure. Coming back from it.
A successful man who realised staying comfortable was making life's hits feel heavier. Trained for pressure before life forced it on him. Over five minutes in 4 degree water including full head submersion, composed, on his first attempt. He left with proof he can hold himself together when business and family pressure land at once.
Races at 200mph, runs her own business, came in carrying a serious back injury and vertigo. The work focused on controlled immersion and a prescribed breathing routine for daily life. Her pain and dizziness improved, and she went on to dominate the extreme challenges, becoming the first woman to complete one of the hardest formats A&E runs.
Dragged an 80kg punch bag to the water, was pinned under it while submerged, thrown in backward blindfolded, then fought the bag for 20 minutes to regain composure. He walked away battered and bruised, refused every opportunity to stop, and left with a level of emotional control that sits way above the norm.
